A groove so wide... you can slide in sideways.

Whatever the venue, this band epitomizes that classic goodtime American Roadhouse experience,

playing music that lives and breathes with the crowd as they dance and listen.

Elements of R&B, Funk, Rock, Reggae, Blues, Jazz and Soul, blended into eclectic high octane music.

With a variety of noted special guests sitting in, the energy presented is sure to entertain.

STEVE PIPER ... Vocals & Guitar

A natural and passionate voice that is contagiously entertaining, Steve’s approach to music is a mixture of Blues, Soul & Zen. His favorite review from other musicians is; “It’s real, it’s honest.” Not given to showy presentations, listeners are entertained by the energy & sincerity with which he sings and plays. Delbert McClinton tunes about the humors of livin' life will be as energetically presented as one of The Allman Bros. haunting blues tunes.

CARL HOPKINS ... Guitar & Vocals

One of the Pioneer Valley’s most popular guitarists, Carl has played and recorded in the area for the last 27 years. He played lead guitar with the late Jack Amberlock and can be heard on Jack’s live album; Blues Unlimited, recorded at Theodore's. Carl’s popularity as a lead guitarist grew with The Bullriders and Driven Wheel,  Susan Duncan and the Boys of Blue, Into the Blue, and local favorites Blueshead. Carl’s guitar playing is warm and rhythmic, complimenting the traditional styles; his lead improvisations will capture any audience. When he’s not burning the frets with ROADHOUSE he shows his versatility by playing acoustic and electric guitars in the pop recordings of PNC Studios and the sound tracks for the Fox Network TV fishing show, On the Water.

Carl's tune 'Shine Box' recorded live with ROADHOUSE featuring Rory O'Connor & Darby Wolfe was selected for the 2007 MISC compilation CD

DAVE THOMPSON ... Drums

The engine that keeps the the rhythm section's wheels rolling and on track, Dave has the ROADHOUSE groove running like a night train, on time, solid and steady. He brings a groove logic that solidifies the the band's sound. He was a member of  Into The Blue  with Carl in the 80's. Dave's chops and style have developed playing all types of music with a variety of bands. Well versed and tasteful, Dave fuels the fire that keeps the ROADHOUSE train smokin' which will get your feet happy and your fingers tappin'.

Dave 'Murph' Murphy ...Bass & Vocals

Schooled at The Berklee School of Music, Murph has been performing live music since the 70's. He formed the R&B and blues band Uncle Martha with Ozzie Williams in the 90’s and played bass on Larry Berger’s second album, Turn Around. Proficient in many styles, Murph has played everything from metal to mariachi ... and made all the stops in between. This diverse experience brings a unique slant to his playing. “Each style has it’s own conventions, and when you can get to a place where styles meet you can make interesting things happen". Murph & Dave Thompson had worked together before they joined ROADHOUSE their energy and rapport makes one very groove-oriented rhythm section.
